Selects Coveford Data Systems Ltd as Strategic partner and International
Distributor for Sales and Marketing OS/EM & CICS/EM Software in Europe.
Trident Services announced today the signing of a strategic
partnership and International
Distributor Agreement with Coveford Data Systems LTD (CDS) for expanding Marketing and Sales in
Europe for Trident's software products called OS/EM and CICS/EM. Coveford Data Systems head
office is located in the United Kingdom with subsidiaries or representative offices in Benelux,
Germany and Switzerland. Established since 1976 CDS provides technical support services to many of
Europe's largest and most respected users of OS/390 and (z/OS) Enterprise Servers.
Tim Humphreys, President of Trident Services and Brian Bidston, Managing Director of Coveford Data
Systems agree this Distributorship will provide tremendous value to existing S/390 (z/OS) users
throughout Europe by CDS marketing and supporting the OS/EM and CICS/EM software products.
OS/EM is the "Operating System Environment Manager" for S/390 & z/OS. OS/EM allows for 24X7
operation without IPL, helps reduce ISV Costs, improves system thruput and service levels, helps
reduce hardware costs, improves manageability and eliminates the need to rewrite most assembler code
when upgrading to new releases. These are just a few of the more than 200 features and benefits.
IBM chose OS/EM this past year as "Software Solution of the Month".
CICS/EM is the "CICS Environment Manager" software for CICS/ESA and CICS/TS that provides a fast,
efficient and cost effective way to manage CICS environments. CICS/EM allows for 24X7 operations by
eliminating the need to recycle CICS regions to clean up temporary storage queues (TSQs) or to
recover/reset terminal ID's. CICS/EM promotes maximum user availability through periodic monitoring
and makes network consolidations or conversions much easier by eliminating duplicate terminal ID's.
CICS/EM is easy to install, use and maintain and has many additional features.
