CICS/EM Batch Interface |
- Open and Close CICS Files from batch jobs - individually or group(s).
- Enable and Disable Transactions from batch jobs - individually or by group(s).
- Enable and Disable Transient data queues from batch jobs - individually or by groups.
- Unlimited concurrency - no single threading due to control file or connection limitations.
- All function can be performed from any system. There are no LPAR or SYSPLEX dependencies. All access is through VTAM.
|
AutoInstall |
- Generates up to 40 million non-duplicating terminal ID's.
- Generates terminal ID's based on VTAM NETNAME.
- Supports site specific requirements for some terminals concurrently with random generated ID's.
- Supports non-duplication between many CICS regions on multiple systems. No system dependencies.
- Supports console autoinstall.
|
Temporary Storage management |
- Deletes orphaned queues by user specified constructs of USERID/TERMID
and a static prefix or suffix.
- Deletes orphaned queues based on relative reference, based on time.
- Can capture queue names and associate them with a terminal
ID's for deletion during autoinstall delete processing.
|
Early Warning System |
- Basic Ping function that can report on region availability based on user
specified metrics.
- Can reduce expensive redundant monitoring and CPU
consumption yet still provides proactive availability monitoring.
|
Dump suppression |
- Allows removal of BTAM support for
sequential terminal and increases
DSA size below 16 MB line.
- Provides an interface to set dump suppression for both
Transaction and System dumps.
|
User Interface |
- Allows access from the Internet/Intranet for USERID searches and/or
terminal information.
- Provides access to internal CICS/EM control and allocation
information for review and/or update.

- System dependency - IPCP batch jobs have to run on the
same system as the CICS region.
- Only CICS to batch feature.
