Trident Services' Performance Evaluation & Tuning Services provide z/OS, CICS and DB2 performance data via monthly trend and utilization reports, based on customer data.
For a small, fixed monthly fee, we review:
- Application level resource consumption.
- Performance of VTS (Virtual Tape System) throughput.
- Tape vs. Disk optimal data set placement and utilization.
- SMS performance.
- Analyze your WLM policies
All work will be done remotely, utilizing customer tool sets if applicable.

PERCENT CPU BUSY.Let a technical expert work with your application teams to review, analyze and tune your
applications. Capture and analyze 'before' and 'after' SMF performance metrics, and review Strobe
profiles.Customize software products such as Omegamon, TMON, Mainview, Strobe or RMF to consume the least
amount of system resources while ensuring each product is being used to its fullest
Keeping Current Support Service:
Keep your p Series hardware up to date and supported by the manufacturer with our Keeping Current Support Service for pSeries. Even beyond staff augmentation or the timely completion of objectives, think of our software support service as an affordable insurance policy that ensures your systems always run smoothly. We charge a fixed, annual or monthly fee to:
- Remotely upgrade the OS (AIX or Linux) to a currently supported version OR apply patches to bring the system more current.
- On-site support for one, five-day (8 hours per day) visit to address the tasks of the customer. This could include any of the following:
- Install or upgrade software products
- Provide performance tuning
- Provide dubugging and problem resolution
- Provide hardware usage review, or process review and make recommendations
- Review network usage
